Spring/Winter TLIs in Lubbock

Lubbock will host two TLIs this spring (aka winter since it’s still a little on the cold side). The first is Saturday, January 22nd, at the LP&L Operations Center (404 Municipal Drive) from 9am to noon. The second is Tuesday, Feburary 8th, at the Home Plate Diner at 7615 University Ave from 6pm to 9pm.

Lubbock Toastmaster Honored

Lubbock Toastmaster Irma Rubio, a member of the Llano Estacado club, was named one of seven Hispanas of the Year by the Hispanic Association of Women. Irma was recognized in the Medical category.

Area Contests

The Fall 2010 contests for Areas 61 & 62 are over and the contestants put on a great show.
Moving forward to represent the areas at the Division F Contest are

• Hank Lin – Area 61 – First Place in the Evaluation Contest
• Robyne Vaughn – Area 62 – First Place in the Evaluation Contest
• Jef Conn – Area 61 – First Place in the Tall Tales Contest

TLI Wrap-up

The summer TLIs in Lubbock are over.  And there’s great news … all the clubs in Lubbock had at least 4 officers trained!

TLI Time

It’s the start of the Toastmasters’ year and that means it’s time to get your club officers trained.

Division F Governor Andy Gerron will be heading up the summer TLIs in Lubbock.  The first is Saturday, July 24th, from 9am to 1pm at the LP&L Operations Center (404 Municipal Drive).  The second is Tuesday, August 3rd, at the Home Plate Diner on University (7615 S. University).
