Toastmasters Leadership Institute – August 7

Your next opportunity to attend the amazing Summer 2012 TLI hosted by the incredible Areas 61 & 62 Governors, Jef Conn & Robyne Vaughn, will be Tuesday, August 7, from6pm until 9pm at the Home Plate Diner, 7615 University.
Please do not bring in any outside food or drink; instead, plan to purchase something to eat and/or drink from the restaurant. We want to show them just how much we appreciate them allowing us to use their facility.
District 23 is also offering some incentives for training attendance. We all know that having at least 4 officers attending TLI  helps us meet half of one goal on the DCP. But did you know that every club having all 7 officers attend will receive a “Perfect 7″ ribbon for your club banner and 2 Competent Leader manuals? Clubs having 4-6 officers attend will receive 1 Competent Leader manual.
Toastmasters club with trained officers are generally stronger clubs. Dedication to having a quality club starts at the top, with the officers, and trickles down to the membership. Make sure that your club isn’t settling for anything but the very best. Send your members to TLI, not just your officers!
If you have any questions about the upcoming Toastmasters Leadership Institute, please contact your Area Governor.

July 28 Toastmasters Leadership Institute

WOW! Area 61 & 62 Governors, Jef Conn & Robyne Vaughn, really put on a fantastic show at Saturday’s TLI.
All of the speaker’s where dynamic and engaging. The energy level was high from the opening moments of the meeting until the very last words of the closing remarks.
Tim Evans presentation of Judge’s training was inspiring. We’re all motivated to be the best contest judges we can be.
Our officer’s panel was composed of some of the best club officer’s our Division has to offer. Each left us with some great ideas, lots of encouragement and excitement to get back to club and put into practice all that we learned on Saturday.
Area 61 Governor, Jef Conn, asked the question, “why are we settling for anything less that 100%?” and challenged every club to aim for more than just completing 10 of 10 DCP goals.
We appreciate all the Toastmasters who traveled from Midland, Odessa, Clovis & Eunice to be a part of our day. We thank you for coming and we cannot wait to see you again!
For those who missed the TLI this Saturday, and for those who wish to go again, there will be another opportunity to attend TLI on Tuesday, August 7. We’ll post the time and location here as soon as we’ve received the confirmation.

The Summer 2012 Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 8:00 am to Noon.
TLI is a biannual training event for the benefit of all Toastmasters. Officer training sessions give club officers the tools they need to effectively carry out their duties as club officers. In addition, general communication and leadership sessions are offered for all attendees.
TLI is an excellent, free resource to assist members, not only in their Toastmasters journey, but in their quest to become better communicators and leaders in their communities and workplaces.
The location has not yet been announced, but stay tuned to ToastmastersInLubbock.com, the ToastmastersInLubbock Facebook page, or follow us on Twitter, @TMINLBB, for more information.
