Two New DTMs
Lubbock, Texas, has two new Distinguished Toastmasters this fall.
Amber Marsh and Kerry Mobley worked closely on a number of projects as they earned their Distinguished Toastmaster Awards.
Amber, a member of Llano Estacado Toastmasters, received her DTM on September 2, 2016. She was the Area 61 Governor in 2014-15 and coached the Eloquent Raiders club to Distinguished status.
Kerry, also a member of Llano Estacado Toastmasters, received her DTM on November 3, 2016. She was the Area 62 Governor in 2014-15 and sponsored the Lubbock Realtor Club.
As Area Governors, the two worked together organizing contests and trainings. They continue to work together this year as district officers. Amber is the District 23 Public Relations Manager and Kerry is the District 23 Administration Manager.

Tim Evans Wins District Contest

Tim is a Lubbock, Texas, resident and a 11 year member of Toastmasters.
The Evaluation contest recognizes the skills of members who provide valuable feedback to a speaker about the speech they have just given.
Tim also won the District 44 Evaluation Contest in the Fall of 2006.

Lubbock Toastmaster Wins Division F Evaluation Contest
Tim Evans of the WWJS Toastmasters club won the Division F Evaluation contest on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas.
Tim has been a member of Toastmasters for over 10 years and won the District 44 Evaluation contest in 2006.
Doug Johnson of Midland, Texas, won the Humorous Speech contest. Doug and Tim both advanced to the District 23 contests which will take place during the fall conference in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Division F Contest - Location Moved to Tyler Technologies
The Division F Contests for the fall of 2015 have been moved to a new location.
The date remains the same - Saturday, September 12th - but the time has been moved up slightly and the contest will now run from 11:00am to 1pm. The briefings begin at 11:00am and the contest starts at 11:30am. All judges and contestants need to arrive at 11:00am.
The location will be Tyler Technologies at 5519 53rd Street, Lubbock, TX (location details and map.)
